why we are
why the church?
We believe that the church is the hope for the world. Few people would observe the state of the world today and say that everything is ok. A few minutes of the evening news or an infomercial about hungry children is enough to make it clear that this is a broken world in need of hope (rescue). And we believe that Jesus has initiated, empowered, and commissioned the church to bring the message of that hope to the world. The world cannot experience the change it needs through humanism, philanthropists’ contributions, government, or self-effort … only the Spirit-led, Spirit-empowered church can bring freedom from the spiritual bondage this world is plagued by. Therefore each local expression of the global church exists for the purpose of engaging in this mission.
beliefs
- We believe that God is three persons in one essence (the Trinity).
- We believe that Jesus was fully God and fully human, was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life and died on the cross, in our place, to save us from our sin.
- We believe Jesus was buried and that He was raised again on the 3rd day, ascended to be with the Father and is returning one day for His Bride, the Church.
- We believe Jesus is the only hope for a lost and broken world.
- We believe the local church is God’s agent for redemptive change.
- We believe the Bible is God’s inspired authoritative word to us.

ministries
Right now our ministries are summed up in one word: love. We are committed to loving our city by being actively involved in acts of service to the community. We are committed to loving and taking care of each other by spending time with each other and being ready to meet the needs of those in the church. We meet weekly in community groups to share this love with each other and pray about how God is leading us to share it with our city.
