Our vision for Movement Kids is centered on partnership. We desire to join families on the journey of raising their children to follow Christ.

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13

On average, a parent has 3,000 potential quality hours with their child in a year and the church has an average of 40 hours. No one has more potential to influence a child than a parent, and we want to support that by providing Christ-Centered resources to be used beyond the Sunday service. We believe that partnering with families creates a greater impact in that child’s life than if either parent or church was to do it alone.

During the Sunday service, our children will spend time playing games together, singing songs, reciting Bible verses and much more. All focused on teaching our children what it means to have a relationship with Jesus.

When you bring your child to Movement Kids, we will ask for your child’s name, a cell phone number we can use to contact you in case of emergency during the service and an email address where we can send our Parent Cue information. Our Parent Cue email provides you with an overview of what your child learned as well as a way to connect with your child and reinforce that week’s lesson. We will also ask who will be picking the child up. This ensures that your child leaves with the correct adult. We hope to see you next week!

Our Commitment

Movement Kids is more than just a place to “drop off” your kids.  We value providing a safe environment in which your children can grow to know who Jesus is.  This starts with our volunteers- Passionate People.  Our volunteers have been trained in how to keep your child safe from accidents, allergies and abuse. All of our volunteers have passed a voluntary back ground check. We also serve snacks that are free of peanuts. Please let us know if your child has a wheat allergy or any other allergy that we should know about.

Movement Kids Classes

Baby Room | Birth through 2 Years

These children and their parents need to feel loved and safe in our program. Children 18 months and up have simple activities to reinforce the week’s lesson and have the opportunity to attend our Movement Kids Assembly time where they will sing, dance and hear the week’s Bible story and memory verse.

Pre-School Room | 3 Years – 5 Years

Our preschoolers learn through lessons that will show that church and learning about Jesus is fun! Each week the lesson is introduced in a fun and engaging way. Then the children are led to assembly time where they sing, dance and hear the week’s lesson and learn their memory verse. After returning to their class, the weekly lesson is reinforced and learned through active play, craft projects and games. Your children will also get a first glimpse of what community looks like when they sit down with their leaders and talk about how they can put the week’s lesson into practice in their lives.

Elementary Room | K-5th Grade

The elementary-aged children are taught a different virtue each month. We learn virtues like compassion, forgiveness, love, patience, wisdom, etc. Virtues are important because “it is something God does in us to change the world around us.”
